Goals of the Week 31

My b/p goal for last week was to have all my intake before 9 PM. I didn't accomplish that a single day. I'm going to try it again but not yet, since I need to get back into the swing of things. This past weekend was my grandfather's memorial service, which was beautiful, except that there was food at every juncture. I ate and ate and ate and managed to purge some of it but the scale said I gained about 5 pounds. My goal for this week is to follow my meal plan. Plan my meals and set goals for myself, and then complete them. Starting earlier today, with breakfast.
My goal last week was to not spend money on vending machine food. I can say there was a reduction in spending from what it was, but ultimately I failed. Since I really need to save my money for printing, I'm going to keep going with this goal. No vending machine spending on 5/7 days of the week.
What are your goals?

  1. That's a great goal
I tend to not eat all day and then binge at night
That time of the day is triggering for me as I associate it with food and tv
I'm glad your grandfather's memorial went well
My own grandfather's is this week
My goal this week is to meet my friend tomorrow
This wouldn't be a big deal to some but for me it's massive

    Good luck with yours x

  2. Ruby, I didn't know your grandfather had passed away! :(
I'm sorry for your loss, and I know it doesn't help any saying that but I hope you know that if need be you can always lean on me and others in the blog world for support. I hope it goes well and that you retain all your cherished memories of him.

  3. My current goals are to eat meals instead of snacks. I've been grazing all day, consuming 1000's of calories, it's just not healthy...plus it leads to purging soooo...yeah. I'm sorry your grandfather passed but I'm happy he was honored with a beautiful memorial service. I hope you are doing well, good luck with your goals!! <3

    1. In fact, your "snacking" is totally healthy and you should not deny your hunger just because it's not "meal time" yet - Your body knows how much energy you need and if you give yourself what your body needs, your weight and energy balance will stabilize without any interference from your brain! Eating is not something to be calculated and done rationally, you cannot eat simply what you're assuming you need (i.e. a certain number of calories) without listening to your body.

  4. Those are great goals! Completeing your intake before 9pm is definitely a good idea. I've recently cut out all eating at night and it is HARD! Seems like that's when I'm most hungry!

Also, vending machine food rocks, so good luck with that one! :)

I kinda failed to set formal goals this week, but I'd really like to see a loss by Friday. (Wouldn't we all..) I'd also like to make it through my three day liquid fast!!

Good luck with your goals <3

  5. My major goal has been to learn moderation! I am also setting a goal of eating at least 25grams of fiber and 45 grams of protein a day. I figure if I can get those two numbers in line it will lead to eating in a balanced way.
The way I avoid vending machines is to never carry cash othrwise it is just so tempting!

    1. Good luck! I definitely agree with you about carrying cash, and I would usually do that. The only problem is that my cash card is also the ID I need to get in and out of buildings, so i can't leave it somewhere. Fingers crossed!

  6. I have to comment on the weight gain after you purged that weekend. You only get rid of 10% of the calories when you purge. It has been 10 days since I threw up. That is my goal...not to binge and purge one day at a time. I'm trying really hard to eat healthy under 1000 calories a day plus I jog and bike every day. The weight is coming off.

    1. Thanks for the advice! I do know that purging doesn't get rid of most of the calories.Purging mostly makes me feel better about it because it does get rid of some calories, if only a small amount, and it leaves me with a more comfortable feeling in my stomach.
Congrats on the 10 days with no b/p!! My wish is to get that far someday soon.
