Goals of the Week 35

My goal last week was to de-stress myself before meals. I tried, I really did. It worked for one dinner but otherwise I couldn't keep my anxiety in check. This is a good one for home but since I don't stress about about eating at school I'm going to hold off on trying it again. My goal for this week is sit far away from the desserts. And to not go near them during meals. Out of sight, out of mind, as they say.
My non b/p goal was to get an hour of exercise every day. I did this 3/7 days last week, which is more than I would usually do, but it wasn't enough. My goal for this week is to get exercise every single day. There's a workout room right by my dorm so it should be easy.

What are your goals?

  1. I love that you make goals every week
I remember in treatment every Monday we made S.M.A.R.T goals
It's stands for specific, achievable and I can't remember what the other letters stand for but it did help x

    1. Thanks! I've heard of SMART goals but I forget what the letters stand for as well. I know my dad is using them for some committee he's on, so i guess they do really help.

  2. I love following your weekly goals. It's so refreshing and motivating to see!
My goal this week is to break boundaries, starting with baby steps. I'm aiming to challenge my fear of eating more than Xgrams of carbohydrate.
Good luck with your goals <3 xx

  3. Those are great goals girl! You know what you should do? Start thinking of fruit as dessert. It's difficult at first, but it's great to teach yourself to love fruit sugar and not need the added stuff of dessert. I don't know if your cafeteria has more than just apples and oranges but make a mixed bowl or I like to do plain Greek yogurt and honey with an apple to dip in it. It's a hard process to train yourself but it's so worth it. Good luck dear!

    1. I've been thinking of trying to switch dessert with fruit but I didn't really give it a go until I read this and decided to try it for real. So far it's not working too well- i'm just so tempted by all the delicious desserts they put out every day. But I do like that idea and it would work if I could stop being around desserts.
Our school doesn't have too big a selection of fruits, unfortunately. They usually have apples and oranges but not much else that you can take out of the dining hall. And even then their apples can be pretty sketchy. I wish I could buy all my own food instead of having to depend on the dining hall to have stuff I want.

  4. Right now I'm just reading everyones blogs. Not ready to put myself out there yet. But this blog I totally understand. I want to stop so bad but my sweet tooth gets me every time ugh. I jog every day except Sundays. Good luck girl. I'm about to read the rest of your blog. Just wanted to let you know I totally understand you.

  5. I have been setting goals for my self and doing a half decent job, however, Monday was tough.
So it is a new day and I must remember I can't change others only myself and my actions.
And this one sucks but I have been gossipy at work and I don't like that quality, I don't want to be the bitchy person so before I speak I must think!

    1. :( I hope your week gets better.
I'm sure you're not thought of as the bitchy person. Everyone gossips and everyone likes to gossip to some extent, it's only natural. Good luck keeping it in check, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
